The short version
We collect the basics needed to run your account and study features: name, email, and activity like quizzes, flashcards, notes, and XP.
We do not sell your personal data — to anyone, ever.
Payments go through Google Play and RevenueCat; we never see your card details.
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your data by emailing roylithia@gmail.com.
Our apps are for university-age students, not children under 13.
Who we are
Roylithia Global Technologies Limited (“Roylithia”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is a technology company registered in Nigeria with the Corporate Affairs Commission under RC 9040446. Our registered office is No. 66 Zone B Chikakore Byazhin Kubwa Abuja FCT, Nigeria.
We build and run:
Roylithia Campus — academy.roylithia.com and the Roylithia Campus Android app (package name com.roylithia.campus) — a social and study app for university students.
Roylithia Scribe — scribe.roylithia.com — our academic writing tool.
Roylithia.com — our company website, where you can find and contact us.
For the personal data described in this policy, Roylithia Global Technologies Limited acts as the data controller under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA). You can reach us any time at roylithia@gmail.com or +2347010845490.
What data we collect
We collect only what we need to run the products. In plain terms:
Account details — your name and email address when you create an account. Campus may also hold profile details you choose to add, such as a username, faculty, level, and profile photo.
Study activity — quizzes you take and your scores, flashcards and notes you create, XP, streaks, and leaderboard positions. On Campus, this includes posts, comments, and messages you send in the app.
Device and app diagnostics — technical information such as device model and operating system, app version, general location derived from your IP address, crash reports, and performance logs. This helps us fix bugs and keep the apps stable.
Payments and subscriptions — purchases are processed by Google Play and managed for us by RevenueCat. We receive confirmation of your purchase, the product and entitlement status, and a subscription identifier. We never receive or store your full card details.
Advertising (only if ads are present) — if we show ads, Google AdMob may collect your advertising ID and device information to serve and measure ads, in line with Google’s own privacy policies. Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent first.
Support messages — messages you send us by email or WhatsApp, and service messages we send you.
What we do not collect: your bank card numbers, your password in readable form, or your phone contacts.
Why we collect it
To provide the products — create and secure your account, sync your study progress, and run quizzes, flashcards, notes, XP, and leaderboards.
Billing — activate, renew, and manage subscriptions and paid features.
Support — answer your questions and fix problems you report.
Safety and security — detect abuse, fraud, cheating, and unauthorised access, and enforce our terms.
Analytics and improvement — understand which features are used, measure performance, and improve the apps.
Advertising — if ads are present, to show and measure them. We ask for consent where required.
Communication — tell you about important service changes. We only send marketing messages with your consent, and you can opt out at any time.
Legal bases and consent
Nigeria’s Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) requires us to have a lawful basis for processing personal data. We rely on:
Your consent — for optional things such as personalised advertising and marketing messages. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Performance of a contract — for the data needed to give you the account and features you asked for.
Legitimate interests — for security, fraud prevention, basic analytics, and improving our products — balanced against your rights.
Legal obligations — where Nigerian law requires us to keep or share certain records, such as tax and accounting rules.
Where consent is the basis, you give it freely and can say no without losing access to the core product.
International transfers
Some of our service providers process data on servers outside Nigeria — for example, Google’s infrastructure. When that happens, we take the steps required by the NDPA to protect your data, including working only with providers that offer appropriate contractual safeguards and security commitments.
By using our products, you understand that your data may be processed in countries other than Nigeria.
How long we keep data
Account data — while your account is active. If you delete your account or ask us to, we delete or anonymise it within 30 days unless we are required by law to keep it.
Study activity — while your account is active; it is removed with your account.
Support messages — up to 24 months after your issue is resolved.
Diagnostics and crash logs — up to 12 months.
Billing records — for as long as Nigerian tax and accounting rules require.
When data is no longer needed, we delete it or turn it into anonymous statistics that cannot be linked back to you.
Security
We protect your data with technical and organisational measures, including:
Encryption in transit — HTTPS/TLS between your device and our servers.
Encryption at rest — where our hosting providers support it.
Access controls — only people who need your data to do their work can access it, and access is logged.
Review — we review how we store and handle data as the products change.
No system is perfectly secure. If you believe your account or data has been compromised, contact us immediately at roylithia@gmail.com.
Your rights
Under the NDPA you have the right to ask us to:
Access — confirm what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy.
Correct — fix data that is wrong or incomplete.
Delete — erase your account and personal data. Google Play users can also delete their Campus account from inside the app, or email us.
Restrict or object — limit or object to certain processing, including direct marketing.
Withdraw consent — where we rely on consent, take it back at any time.
Portability — receive certain data in a portable format where the law provides for it.
To make a request, email roylithia@gmail.com. We may ask you to verify who you are, and we aim to respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) at ndpc.gov.ng.
Children's privacy
Roylithia Campus and Roylithia Scribe are not directed at children under 13. Campus is built for university students and is intended for users aged 16 and above (18 and above where a university requires it).
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us personal data, email roylithia@gmail.com and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our products or the law change. When we make a material change, we will tell you in the app, on the website, or by email before it takes effect.
The effective date at the top of this page shows when this version started. If you keep using our products after a change takes effect, you accept the updated policy. Older versions are available on request.
